Annual Hyde Park 2019 Gathering
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1
On June 25-27, 2019 Northeastern US pastors and leaders gathered at the Focolare property in Hyde Park, NY to continue building relationships and hear about what was happening nationally and internationally with the John 17 Movement. J17 Director Joe Tosini shared about his time at the Vatican in February with leaders gathered from around the world and how his message on the “Theology of Love” was enthusiastically received. Also, leaders from Massena, NY shared what had taken place in April during the Lenten Mission multi church gatherings and how deeply moved many believers were in the city by the Visible Unity the witnessed. Finally Joe Tosini, Peter & Desi Petrov and Don Curry shared about their time in Bulgaria the month prior in May and how impacting that time was for connecting with strategic leaders in the nation and for demonstrating visible unity. Linda Morris from Phoenix, AZ also joined us and opened her heart regarding the racial discrimination pain she has experienced most of her life. We were inspired and challenged to dig deeper regarding Racial Reconciliation, acknowledging the HUGE racial divide that still exists, especially with African Americans. We were all deeply convicted and left Hyde Park different than we had arrived.
